FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR - Our much looked forward to Ladies’ Bible Study, 10:00 A.M. TUESDAY MORNINGS, beginning this week. Mrs. Natalie Johnson will be conducting this fellowship.

AWANA LEADERS MEETING - Tomorrow evening, 6:30-8:30 p.m. See Kathy B. if you would like to help.

AWANA CLUBS begin Monday, September 15th, 6:30-8:30 p.m. for children 3 years old through 6th grade. Pre-register your child in the church foyer following services today.

SENIORS FOR CHRIST will meet on Saturday, September 13th, at 1:00 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. All “senior saints” are welcome.

MISSIONARY NEWS - MARY PURDUM - Australian Outback: In the past 3 months I have chopped wood, put up fences, fed bulls, leveled concrete, cleaned, cooked, and helped clear a fire break. Most of these jobs gave me opportunities to witness to people. I saw the look of amazement on the faces of 2 little boys when I told them I had a book that God had written. With wide eyes one asked, “Can I see it?” They have started thanking God for the food at every meal, and now God is in their thoughts. I recently spent 2 weeks in Barcaldine, a town of about 1500 people, and went door knocking at about 300 of the houses. Only two people refused to take a tract from me and many took time to stop and talk with me. On July 29th I arrived in the Northern Territory to work with a family to home school their children. The mom is saved. We are about 180 miles from the nearest town. During the wet season beginning in November, the homestead is totally cut off for about 3 months. Praise the Lord for the opportunity to experience life in the Outback to better understand how to reach those here for Christ, and for your faithful financial and prayer support. Pray that I will be a good testimony for Christ.
